CSOs Coalition Hails Governor Namadi’s Drive for Peace, Security in Jigawa

The Civil Society Coalition on Peace, Security, and Conflict Resolution (CPSC-CR) has commended Governor Malam Umar Namadi, FCA, for his unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and security across Jigawa State.
Speaking during a press conference in Dutse, the President of the Coalition, Comrade Musbahu Basirka, applauded the governor’s recent donation of operational vehicles and motorcycles to the Nigeria Police Force, describing it as a strategic move to boost law enforcement capacity and strengthen security response.
He noted that Governor Namadi’s administration continues to show strong political will by collaborating with security agencies, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders to combat violent extremism, cross-border crimes, and farmers–herders conflicts through dialogue and sustainable peacebuilding efforts.
Comrade Basirka also urged the Federal Government and state authorities to enhance community policing, improve intelligence sharing, and embrace preventive measures to ensure long-term peace and stability.
Reaffirming CPSC-CR’s commitment to transparency and partnership, he emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among government institutions, civil society, traditional leaders, and the media to foster unity and inclusive governance across the state.
He concluded by reiterating the coalition’s unwavering support for the Namadi administration’s vision of a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Jigawa State.
