Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State – In a significant move to bolster the fight against insecurity, Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON mni, visited troops of the Nigerian Army at Dukku Barracks in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The operational visit aimed to assess ongoing military operations and galvanize the soldiers’ resolve to eradicate banditry and other criminal activities, particularly in the North West region.

Addressing the troops, Minister Abubakar conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s profound gratitude for their sacrifices and achievements in maintaining peace across the nation. He lauded their professionalism, courage, and unwavering commitment, emphasizing that both the President and the entire country deeply appreciate their dedication.

“It is time to finish all aspects of insecurity,” the Minister declared, urging the soldiers to redouble their efforts. In a charged call to action, he asked, “Are you ready to end it?” to which the troops responded with a resounding and unified “Yes! Sir!”

Visibly encouraged by their positive response, Minister Abubakar expressed strong confidence that the current security challenges would soon be overcome, allowing citizens to conduct their daily activities without fear. He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting the armed forces, stating that their welfare remains a top priority.

The Minister’s visit serves as a clear indication of the Federal Government’s renewed determination to decisively address the security issues plaguing various parts of the country. The emphasis on boosting troop morale and ensuring their preparedness underscores a strategic push to bring lasting peace and stability to Nigeria.
