Defence Minister Extends Condolences to Borno Governor Amid Maiduguri Flood Crisis

The Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, has expressed profound sympathy to the Executive Governor of Borno State, His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, CON, mni, and the residents of Borno State following the recent catastrophic floods in Maiduguri.The devastating floods, attributed to the overflow of the Alau Dam, have inflicted severe damage on properties and displaced numerous families, exacerbating the region’s existing challenges.In his statement, Minister Badaru conveyed his deep sadness: “The flooding in Maiduguri has brought significant hardship, displacing families and causing extensive damage. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all those affected during this challenging period.”He also praised Governor Zulum for his swift and effective response to the crisis: “Governor Zulum’s prompt actions to mitigate the suffering of the flood victims are commendable. The resilience and fortitude of the Borno people are truly admirable.
