Defence Minister Visits Jigawa, Pledges Support for Flood Victims, Commends Governor’s Swift Response
The Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, visited Jigawa State on Saturday, 24th August, to commiserate with the state government over the recent devastating flood that ravaged the state, resulting in loss of life and properties.
Minister Badaru Abubakar expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the people and government of Jigawa State, acknowledging the severe impact of the flooding on farmlands, properties, and lives. He praised Governor Malam Umar A Namadi’s dedication to the welfare of the people and his swift response to the flood crisis.
In a gesture of solidarity and compassion, Minister Badaru Abubakar made a personal donation of N20 million naira on behalf of himself and his family to support the state government’s relief efforts. He also conveyed a special message from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, condoling with the people and government of Jigawa State and reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to assisting the state during this challenging period.
The visit reinforced the strong bond between Minister Badaru Abubakar and the people of Jigawa State, demonstrating his commitment to their welfare and well-being.
