FCT FA Chairman, Alh Abba AVM Mouktar Mohammed, Bestowed with Traditional Title of “Abegyi Bwaya”

Abuja, Nigeria – In a significant recognition of his contributions to the development of the Bwari Chiefdom and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alh Adam Mohammed Mouktar (Abba AVM), Chairman of the FCT Football Association, has been conferred with the prestigious traditional title of “Abegyi Bwaya” (Progress of Bwari).
The conferment was announced by His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Yaro (JP), the 17th Sa-Bwaya, Esu Bwari, and Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers, Bwari Areas Council, FCT.
In a letter dated January 1st, 2025, HRH Dr. Yaro stated that the title was bestowed upon Alh Mouktar in appreciation of his “good service record and hard working in development and progress of Bwari Chiefdom and FCT in general.” The letter further highlighted Alh Mouktar’s instrumental role in facilitating numerous development projects within the region, which have not only contributed to reducing crime rates but also provided valuable job opportunities for the local youth.
Alh Mouktar has been requested to formally accept the title in writing for official record purposes.
