Gov Dauda Lawal Swears in New Head of Service and 12 Permanent Secretaries

In a move aimed at restructuring the state’s civil service and ensuring effective governance, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has sworn in a new Head of Service and 12 Permanent Secretaries. This development is part of Governor Lawal’s efforts to reposition the state’s civil service, making it more efficient and effective in delivering services to the people.
The new Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries are expected to play crucial roles in implementing Governor Lawal’s policies and programs aimed at developing the state. Their appointments are seen as a significant step towards achieving the governor’s vision for Zamfara State.

Under Governor Lawal’s leadership, Zamfara State has witnessed significant developments, including the distribution of over N4 billion in NG-CARES cash transfers to 44,000 beneficiaries and the signing of the 2025 appropriation bill into law. The governor has also prioritized security, health, and education in the 2025 ‘Rescue Budget 2.0.
