Governor Abba Donates N100 Million to Dakata Fire Victims, Pledges Support for Reconstruction

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has donated N100 million to victims of the recent fire outbreak at Dakata Small Scale Industrial Area in Nassarawa Local Government Area. The fire resulted in losses exceeding ₦8 billion, affecting numerous business owners and their families.

During his visit to the site, Governor Yusuf expressed deep concern over the tragic incident and announced plans to rebuild the area. He directed the Ministry of Commerce, Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), and Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) to collaborate on clearing debris, redesigning the site, and preventing future occurrences.

- Opening of a special account for donations to support victims
Governor Yusuf called on the Federal Government, politicians, business moguls, and stakeholders to contribute generously towards rehabilitating affected businesses and ensuring a swift recovery. He emphasized the importance of unity and collective action in rebuilding Dakata Small Scale Industry.

In a separate development, Governor Yusuf paid a condolence visit to the family of late Alhaji Nasiru Ahli, a renowned Islamic scholar and industrialist who passed away at 108. The Governor prayed for Allah to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and for the family to find strength to bear the loss.
