Governor Alex Otti Signs 2025 Abia State Budget into Law, Prioritizing Key Sectors

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has signed the 2025 Abia State Appropriation Bill into law, paving the way for a transparent and accountable management of state resources. The budget, worth ₦750.282 billion, is expected to prioritize key sectors such as education, healthcare,infrastructure, and security.
This development follows the presentation of the budget speech by Governor Otti on the floor of the Abia State House of Assembly in Umuahia. The governor emphasized his administration’s commitment to sustaining the momentum of development in the state.
In a similar move, the Osun State House of Assembly has passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill, totaling ₦427.746 billion, into law. The budget prioritizes key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, tourism, and security, aiming to achieve meaningful outcomes that will enhance the lives of citizens.
Governor Otti’s commitment to transparency and accountability is a welcome development, and it’s expected that the budget will be implemented efficiently to benefit the people of Abia State.
