Governor Namadi Appoints Dr. Nasiru as Pioneer MD of Jigawa State Farm Mechanization Service Company Limited

Dutse, Jigawa State, Nigeria – September 27, 2024 – Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has appointed Dr. Ado Nasiru as the inaugural Managing Director of the newly ”stablished Jigawa State Farm Mechanization Service Company Limited.
Dr. Nasiru, a seasoned agricultural expert with over three decades of experience, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this critical role. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Director of the Centre for Agricultural Research and Extension Service (CARES) at Federal University Dutse.
His extensive background in agriculture and agricultural engineering, particularly in the areas of farm power and machinery, positions him well to lead the company’s efforts to modernize and improve agricultural practices in Jigawa State.
Governor Namadi expressed confidence in Dr. Nasiru’s ability to drive the company’s success and contribute significantly to the state’s agricultural development.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Director of CARES: Served as the Director of the Centre for Agricultural Research and Extension Service at Federal University Dutse.
State Agro-processing and Post-Harvest Coordinator: Held key positions in the Sasakawa Global 2000 National Programme for Food Security (NPFS).
Academic Achievements: Obtained a BSc in Agricultural Extension from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, followed by an MSc and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension from the same university and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, respectively.
