Governor Namadi, Receives Prestigious Governor of the Year Award

Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, has been honored with the Governor of the Year 2024 award by Leadership Newspaper Group. The prestigious award was presented at the Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony held at the State House Old Banquet Hall in Abuja.
A Commitment to Grassroots Development
Governor Namadi expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as an “inspirational and revered honor”. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality development projects, focusing on fiscal reforms and governance under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The governor has consistently prioritized grassroots development, emphasizing the importance of strengthening rural communities. He believes economic growth is directly linked to grassroots development, with small and medium-scale enterprises thriving in rural areas.
Recognition from Other Organizations
Governor Namadi has received similar recognition from other organizations, including the OurNigeria Awards 2024, where he was named Best Governor of the Year/Best Governor in Grassroots Development. The Jigawa State APC Consultative Forum also honored him with a Leadership and Good Governance Award for his developmental projects within his first year in office.
