Governor Zulum Launches Rep. Talba’s Palliative Distribution for 3,000 Constituents in Borno

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has flagged off a large-scale palliative distribution initiative aimed at alleviating hardship among 3,000 residents of Marte, Monguno, and Nganzai local government areas.

The relief effort, spearheaded by House of Representatives member Engr. Bukar Talba, provided essential food supplies and cash assistance to constituents affected by years of insurgency in the region. Governor Zulum, represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijjani, praised the lawmaker for his commitment to community welfare and grassroots development.

Breakdown of Palliatives Distributed Each of the three local government areas had 1,000 beneficiaries, with recipients receiving:
✅ One bag of rice
✅ One bag of maize grain
✅ ₦20,000 cash assistance
Rep. Talba’s Commitment to Constituents Speaking at the occasion, Engr. Bukar Talba highlighted his developmental strides since assuming office, including:
Construction of new classrooms to improve access to education.
Provision of farm implements to boost agricultural productivity.
Livelihood support and skills acquisition programs benefiting thousands.
