House of Reps Donates ₦705 Million to President Tinubu
By Abdulhamid Sani
In a gesture of goodwill, the House of Representatives, led by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, presented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with a ₦705 million cheque to support his philanthropic efforts for vulnerable Nigerians. This donation was made during the President’s break of Ramadan fasting with members of the House of Representatives at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.

The donation is aimed at supporting President Tinubu’s initiatives to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable Nigerians. This move has sparked a mix of reactions, with some praising the House of Representatives for their generosity, while others have raised questions about the source of the funds and the transparency of the donation.

It’s worth noting that Speaker Tajudeen Abbas was recently conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), the nation’s second-highest national honor, by President Tinubu. This development has led to speculation about the motivations behind the donation and the relationship between the President and the Speaker.
