In a significant milestone for Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodimma hosted Vice President Kashim Shettima to flag off the maiden international Hajj flight from the state. The ceremony took place at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, a state-of-the-art facility recently handed over by Governor Uzodimma.
In line with Igbo tradition, Governor Uzodimma presented kola nuts to Vice President Shettima, symbolizing peace, goodwill, and hospitality. The Chairman of the Council of Imo State Traditional Rulers, Eze Emmanuel Okeke, was also in attendance, highlighting the importance of this event.
