Jigawa Police Arrest 29 Suspects, Recover Stolen Goods and Drugs

Dutse, Nigeria – The Jigawa State Police Command has announced the arrest of 29 suspected thieves and drug barons in a series of operations conducted between August 24 and September 6, 2024.
Among the recovered items were four motorcycles, foodstuffs, handsets, an iron rod, a gas cylinder, and illicit drugs.
One of the most shocking cases involved a man who sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl with scissors and a spoon. The suspect, identified as Bashir Umar, was arrested and charged to court.
Other notable arrests included the capture of individuals involved in criminal conspiracy, theft, and drug trafficking. The police also conducted raids on criminal hideouts, resulting in the seizure of various illegal substances.
The Jigawa State Police Command has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
