Jigawa Police Command Fosters Collaboration with DSS for Enhanced Security

In a move to strengthen security ties, the newly posted State Director of Security (SDS), Department of State Service (DSS), Jigawa State, SDS Murtala Abdullahi, fsi, paid a courtesy visit to the Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, psc, at the State Headquarters in Dutse on Tuesday, March 19, 2025.

During the visit, SDS Murtala Abdullahi reaffirmed his commitment to fostering effective collaboration between the DSS and the Nigeria Police Force in Jigawa State. He noted that Jigawa is one of the most peaceful states in the country, providing an opportunity for all security agencies to collaborate to prevent security threats and maintain peace.
In response, CP AT Abdullahi warmly welcomed the Director and his entourage, expressing his pleasure with the visit. He highlighted the long-standing cordial relationship between the Police and DSS, describing them as “twin brothers” with no rivalry. The CP emphasized that security is a shared responsibility and that no single agency can achieve it alone.
The visit concluded with the Commissioner of Police presenting a memento to SDS Murtala Abdullahi, underscoring the commitment of both agencies to collaborate and ensure the continued peace and security of Jigawa State.
