Gwaram, Jigawa State (October 10, 2024) – In a significant boost to infrastructure development in Jigawa State, the Fagam Township Road construction project has been officially launched. The 3.3-kilometer road, valued at N2.3 billion, is expected to be completed within 10 months.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by Hon. Salim Abdulrahman Lawan, the Executive Chairman of Gwaram Local Government. Representing the Ministry of Work and Transport, the Permanent Secretary, Alh. Ahmad Isah on behalf of the Hon. Commissioner Engr. Gambo S. Malam, outlined the contractual terms and highlighted the project’s importance in improving connectivity and economic opportunities for the community.

Retercha Nig. Ltd, the company contracted for the project, was represented by Amin Hajaj, who assured residents of a high-quality execution. Hon. Lawan expressed his gratitude to Governor Namadi for initiating the project, urging community members to actively monitor the progress and ensure adherence to standards.

The Head of Fagam District, Alh. Auwal Adamu Katikan Dutse, echoed the community’s appreciation for Governor Namadi’s efforts in addressing their infrastructure needs. The presence of the due process team during the flag-off ceremony underscored the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

With the Fagam Township Road project underway, the Gwaram community anticipates a significant improvement in accessibility and economic opportunities. This development is a testament to the Jigawa State Government’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.
