JIGAWA STATE POLICE COMMAND CRACKS DOWN ON CRIME: 22 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, STOLEN ITEMS RECOVERED – DSP LAWAN SHIISU ADAM
The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested 22 suspects in connection with various crimes, including vandalism, theft, fraud, and armed robbery. The arrests were made between July 29 and August 22, 2024, following intelligence-led operations and public tips.
The recovered items include two motor vehicles, four motorcycles, six cows, 50 A4 papers, fake USD notes, ₦59,820, vandalized cable wire, and illicit drugs.
The suspects were arrested for various crimes, including:
- Vandalism and theft of cable wire
- Fraud and possession of counterfeit USD notes
- Armed robbery and housebreaking
- Theft of motorcycles and cows
- Criminal conspiracy and adulteration of fertilizer
