In a significant development, the Senate has given its stamp of approval to the appointment of Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche as the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS). This confirmation marks a major milestone in Nwakuche’s illustrious career, and is expected to bring about positive reforms in the country’s correctional system.

Nwakuche, a seasoned officer with decades of experience in the correctional system, has been instrumental in implementing key reforms in the sector. His nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was widely seen as a strategic move to strengthen the correctional system and enhance security in custodial centers nationwide.
