Kano Governor Offers Automatic Employment to 54 Students

In a move to boost the healthcare sector in Kano State, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has offered automatic employment to 54 postgraduate students who benefited from a foreign scholarship program to study health-related courses in India. This announcement was made during a warm reception and Iftar (Ramadan breaking of fast) organized for the students who studied at Symbiosis International University in Pune, India.
The Governor emphasized the importance of retaining local talent, urging the returning scholars to utilize their expertise and knowledge to improve healthcare service delivery in the state, particularly in addressing issues like maternal mortality and sickle cell anemia.
Governor Yusuf’s initiative aims to address the brain drain phenomenon and attract top talent to contribute to the state’s progress. This move is expected to significantly enhance the healthcare sector in Kano State.
