Kano Governor Unveils Vision for 2025, Prioritizes Education extends new year greetings to the good people of Kano

Kano, Nigeria – Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has extended New Year greetings to residents, pledging to prioritize education and economic development in 2025. In a statement released by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf outlined plans to complete infrastructure projects, enhance healthcare, and empower youth and women through skill development programs.
“Happy New Year to the good people of Kano State,” Governor Yusuf said. “May 2025 bring us peace, prosperity, and more unity.” He emphasized the importance of the recently approved 2025 budget, stating it will accelerate development across the state.
A key focus for the year will be education reform. Governor Yusuf announced a significant budget allocation of 31 percent to the education sector, reflecting his administration’s commitment to improving the quality of education in the state.
“In 2025, the result of our declaration of a state of emergency on education will continue to manifest,” Governor Yusuf stated.
The Governor also expressed confidence in boosting the state’s economy through initiatives aimed at supporting farmers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and job creation.
Governor Yusuf called on the people of Kano to remain united and supportive of the government’s development agenda. He expressed optimism that 2025 will be a year of significant progress and improved living standards for all residents.
