Governor Abba Yusuf has given the green light to Kano State’s 2025 budget, allocating a whopping ₦719.755 billion for the “Budget of Hope, Human Capital, and Economic Development”. This ambitious budget prioritizes key sectors, earmarking ₦262.67 billion for recurrent expenditure and a significant ₦457.08 billion for capital expenditure.

The budget focuses on transforming Kano State through strategic investments in:
√Infrastructure Development: Roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure projects will receive a significant boost.
√Education: Quality education will be prioritized, with a focus on improving schools and educational facilities.
√Healthcare: Healthcare services will be enhanced, with investments in medical facilities, equipment, and personnel.
√Poverty Reduction: Initiatives aimed at reducing poverty and promoting economic empowerment will be implemented.
√Agriculture: Agricultural development will be supported, with a focus on improving productivity and livelihoods.
Governor Yusuf expressed his commitment to making Kano State a better place for its citizens, emphasizing that the budget reflects his administration’s priorities.The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, also commended the governor’s efforts, highlighting the importance of the budget in driving development in the state.
