MADORI, JIGAWA STATE – In a significant move to bolster local economic activity, the Chairman of Madori Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Sani Garungabbas SSG, has disbursed business support grants to 500 residents drawn from all eleven wards of the LGA. The initiative aims to provide crucial capital for entrepreneurs to establish or expand their ventures.

The financial support was distributed on a tiered basis to cater to varying business needs:

  • Select individuals received ₦500,000 each.
  • Another group was granted ₦200,000 each.
  • A further category of beneficiaries received ₦100,000.
  • Others were supported with ₦50,000.
  • Small-scale business owners received grants of ₦20,000.

During an address to the beneficiaries and attendees, Chairman Garungabbas emphasized the importance of utilizing the funds effectively to stimulate business growth and achieve sustainable self-reliance. He articulated that this empowerment program is a direct reflection of the developmental priorities set forth by the Jigawa State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Umar Namadi Danmodi (F.C.A), particularly referencing the Governor’s 12-point agenda aimed at uplifting the populace.

“This initiative is designed to empower our people directly, providing them with the resources needed to strengthen their businesses and contribute to the economic vitality of Madori,” stated Chairman Garungabbas. He further assured the community of his commitment to continuing such support programs in the future.

The event was reportedly well-attended by local dignitaries and community members, who expressed gratitude and offered prayers for the success of the beneficiaries and the continued well-being and effective leadership of the Chairman. The atmosphere was one of optimism, celebrating the potential for wealth creation and poverty alleviation through targeted economic support.

This distribution marks a tangible step by the Madori Local Government administration, under Chairman Garungabbas, to translate the state government’s vision into practical assistance for its citizens, fostering entrepreneurship and economic resilience at the grassroots level.
