New Commissioner of Police Appointed for Katsina State

Katsina State has welcomed a new Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Bello Shehu, who hails from Gombe State. This development was recently announced by the Police Service Commission (PSC), which approved the appointment of nine new Commissioners of Police to various state commands.
Alhaji Bello Shehu’s appointment is part of the PSC’s efforts to strengthen the Nigeria Police Force and ensure effective policing across the country. The new commissioner will be responsible for overseeing the Katsina State Police Command and working to maintain law and order in the state.
It’s worth noting that the PSC has emphasized the importance of empowering recognized police departments and avoiding the misuse of tactical units. The commission has also urged the new commissioners to build trust with their subordinates and engage with local communities.
