In a significant development, Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has announced plans to share experiences with Bangladesh in defence, agriculture, and military cooperation. This bilateral cooperation aims to integrate military personnel into non-combat sectors, promoting economic prosperity and national development.

According to Mati Ali, PA Media & Publicity to the Hon. Minister, the cooperation discussion took place during a courtesy visit by H.E. Mansur Rahman, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria, at Ship House, Abuja. The meeting highlighted the potential benefits of military cooperation in agriculture and defence, including the development of Nigeria’s blue economy.

The Ministry of Defence’s dedication to innovative strategies promoting military personnel’s welfare and Nigeria’s prosperity underscores the significance of this cooperation. As Nigeria and Bangladesh strengthen their ties, the potential for mutual growth and development is vast.
