Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s economic future, stating that the country has turned a corner and is on the path to sustained growth. Speaking to State House reporters after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, Shettima assured Nigerians that they will start to see the benefits of the government’s policies in the coming weeks and months.

According to Shettima, the economy has begun to pick up, and the government is working closely with the National Assembly to develop comprehensive solutions to the country’s challenges. He acknowledged that Nigeria, like other nations, is facing economic headwinds due to global trends such as the Ukraine crisis. However, he expressed confidence that the government’s strategic policymaking and resilience will overcome these hurdles.

With the government’s commitment to driving economic growth and development, Nigerians can look forward to a brighter future in 2025. As VP Shettima stated, “I’m highly optimistic about tomorrow. I believe we have turned the corner, and insha Allah, we shall have very robust economic activities in the new year. I believe Nigerians will prosper”.
