PANDEF Lauds President Tinubu for Signing South-South Development Commission Bill

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing the South-South Development Commission Bill into law. This historic move has boosted the confidence of the Niger Delta people in the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting regional development and addressing the unique challenges facing the region.
According to Ambassador Dr. Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, National Chairman of PANDEF, the signing of the bill is a significant milestone that demonstrates the government’s dedication to the development of the South-South region.

- Promoting Sustainable Development: The commission will play a complementary role to the efforts of the Governors in delivering sustainable development to the region.

A Call to Action
PANDEF has also appealed to President Tinubu to restore democratic governance in Rivers State by immediately recalling the Governor, Deputy Governor, and the State Assembly.
Ambassador Igali commended the National Assembly for their timely completion of work on the legislation and expressed hope for continued collaboration, progress, and peace in the days ahead.
