PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS NEW INTELLIGENCE CHIEFS AMBASSADOR MOHAMMED MOHAMMED TO LEAD NIA, ADEOLA OLUWATOSIN AJAYI TO HEAD DSS

President Bola Tinubu has appointed new Directors-General for the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS). The appointees are:

  • Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, new Director-General of NIA
  • Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, new Director-General of DSS

Ambassador Mohammed brings extensive foreign service experience, having joined NIA in 1995 and served in various roles, including as head of the Nigerian mission to Libya.

Mr. Ajayi rose through the ranks to become Assistant Director-General of DSS, with previous postings as State Director in several states.

President Tinubu expects the new security chiefs to reposition the agencies for better results, tackling security challenges through collaboration and alignment with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

The President thanks the outgoing Directors-General for their service and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
