President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai as he marks his 65th birthday, applauding his years of dedicated service to Nigeria.
El-Rufai, a distinguished administrator, scholar, and politician, is widely recognized for his intellect, leadership, and commitment to governance. As a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape.
The former Kaduna State governor, who served two consecutive terms, previously held key national positions, including Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from 2003 to 2007. His tenure in these roles was marked by significant reforms and transformative policies.
President Tinubu commended El-Rufai’s unwavering dedication to democracy, his impactful service to the nation, and his mentorship of the younger generation. He also acknowledged El-Rufai’s instrumental role in the formation of the APC and its electoral victories in 2015, 2019, and 2023.
