Jigawa State Government Deploys 9,974 Security Personnel to Safeguard Key Infrastructure
In a bid to enhance security across the state, the Jigawa State Government has deployed 9,974 security personnel, known as “Danmodi Security Guards,” to protect schools, hospitals, courts, and water supply stations. This initiative aims to provide a safe environment for citizens and ensure the continuity of essential services.

Rt. Hon. Qs Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, represented Governor Umar Namadi FCA at the passing-out ceremony of 8,974 security personnel at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Dutse. The ceremony marks the second phase of the “Safe School Initiative,” which seeks to provide security cover for schools and other critical infrastructure in the state.

The deployment of these security personnel is expected to significantly improve the security situation in Jigawa State, particularly in areas prone to banditry and kidnapping. The guards have undergone training to equip them with the necessary skills to effectively discharge their duties.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Qs Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin urged the security personnel to discharge their duties with utmost integrity and professionalism. He also called on the authorities overseeing the initiative to ensure effective monitoring and supervision to guarantee its success.
