Kano State – Alhaji Saminu Garba Madaki, the Village Head of Mariri, has called for a renewed commitment to traditional Hausa values as a key to restoring peace and stability in Kano State and Nigeria.In a recent interview with local journalists, Madaki emphasized the importance of upholding values such as mutual assistance, respect, love, friendship, and a thirst for knowledge. He argued that by embracing these cultural tenets, the Hausa community can contribute significantly to a more harmonious and prosperous society.The Village Head also expressed concern about the potential for unrest among young people due to idleness and lack of education. He stressed the need for proper upbringing and guidance to ensure that the next generation is equipped with the skills and values necessary to build a better future.Madaki’s statement comes at a time when Kano State and other parts of Nigeria are grappling with various challenges, including security threats and socio-economic disparities. His call for a return to traditional values offers a potential pathway towards greater cohesion and progress.
