Nigeria Appoints Ayo Mairo-Ese and Dr. Otive Igbuzor to Strengthen Board

Abuja, Nigeria – ActionAid Nigeria has announced the appointment of Ayo Mairo-Ese and Dr. Otive Igbuzor to its Board of Directors, a move expected to further strengthen the organisation’s governance, strategic leadership, and commitment to advancing social justice across the country.

The appointments, which take immediate effect, bring to the Board two respected professionals with extensive experience in strategic communications, governance, public policy, advocacy, and institutional leadership.
According to ActionAid Nigeria, the new Board members will play a critical role in guiding the organisation as it implements its 2024–2034 Country Strategy, Citizens’ Action to End Poverty and Injustice (CAEPI). The strategy focuses on promoting inclusive development, empowering citizens, strengthening democratic governance, and tackling poverty and inequality through collective action.
The organisation expressed confidence that the expertise and leadership of Ayo Mairo-Ese and Dr. Otive Igbuzor will reinforce its mission of advancing human rights, social justice, gender equality, and sustainable development in Nigeria.
